This is not a manifesto. I’m excited to share my experiences about life, liberty, and the pursuit of drinking a beverage at a local cafe in some foreign corner of the world.
I am a 25-year-old living in the Northeast part of the US. I work in financial services, graduated from a reputable university, and am seeking balance in the modern world.
I’m not writing about this because I think that it’s going to dramatically change the world or shift some long-standing paradigm, but because I think it could change just one person’s experience or even slightly alter the way that someone views the world (for the better, I hope). That’s insanely cliche, but they must exist for a reason, right? If someone found this page and decided to book a trip, take themselves out to a nice dinner, or even find it a little more fun to do basic activities, then I’d consider it a win. This is going to be largely about my thoughts, experiences, and suggestions regarding ordinary people who choose to do things that are considered difficult. But mostly, it’s a shout into the void about the importance of pushing yourself, in ways that you might not expect. They say if you shout into the void for long enough, it eventually shouts back, so we’ll see.
